(This became quite a long post and I realise I might repeat myself a few times, sorry in advance)
I'd MUCH rather have ads then pay over a euro for every episode, however i'm quite sure there are people that feel just the opposite and hate advertising in all it's forms, why not have an option to pay for advertisement free (and maby higher quality?) stream and one lower quality which is free and has advertisement in it.
Also i'd have to say that this "news type" of show is not the way to go. It seemed like they were reading their papers more then having eye contact, this is obviously lack of experience but keeping it less pre-scripted is a way to avoid this i think.
Personally I like to have an option to save things I like (if for example there's a show I really enjoyed) and watch it later or just being able to pause, rewind and watch something again (if you missed what something said, for example), but with the current system this is impossible unless you want to do something illegal or have to pay every single time you watch it...
I definately enjoyed watching the tournament WAY more then the current evetv, that's for sure, evetv just seems stiff and waaay to scripted at the moment and needs to be more relaxed and not trying to be a very professional show (no offense but the people involved just don't have the experience, and if you were to get people that have the experience the cost would most likely dramatically increase and that's not good either)
In short, the biggest flaw is probably that it's waay to pre-scripted and generally just too stiff.. Also it needs more options then just paying to watch. I was looking forward to evetv when i heard it was coming back but I must say that it was not even close to as enjoyable the tournament was to watch (even if the quality of the stream now was WAY better, i was quite impressed by the quality actually!)
Basically, less pre-scripting, more laid back, try not to force the show into looking like it's very professional, that's not the way to go. I realise that filling 30 minutes with good material is most likely quite hard...
Please, don't force people to pay or they can't watch it at all, how about you release it on torrent in lower quality with ads or something like that a few hours/days after the airing of the show so people not wanting too pay aren't entirely left out... |
